NATF has created and develops exchange networks with other academic and industrial R&D milieus abroad. The NATF Fellows who reside outside France can act as “ambassadors” for the academy, in particular vis-a-vis their academic counterparts and/or the R&D milieus.
Various actions are undertaken in the framework of Euro-CASE (European Council of Applied Sciences, Technologies and Engineering), or the CAETS (Council of Academies of Engineering and Technological Sciences).

The regional activities of the Academy, proposed and organised by Bruno JARRY, Delegate for regional affairs, are framed in the continuity of the partnership signed with the Association for Fance's Regions (ARF).
Over and above an annual plenary session of the Academy convened in one of the Regions, the NATF organises various specialist seminars on technology-intensive themes associating the academics with regional experts, often located in the “competitivity poles” or in respect to major topics under study by the academy’s commissions.
Meetings are also organised on a regular basis with the lycee students, helping the latter to put a perspective on various training courses open to them, in particular the possible technology or engineering options, describing for them the future professions that will be generated by new technologies.
