Advice Notes and Position Papers

Advice Notes (or position Papers) issued by the NATF are formally debated and voted in session, after an a priori vetting process before the Executive Committee for Quality Assessment. The Advice Notes  (or Positions Papers) constitute the formal written answers by NATF to commissioning authorities (notably Government). They can be published, subject to obtaining approval to do so from the commissioning authority to whom the Note or Paper is addressed.

NATF Academic reports

The NATF Academic Reports are authored by members of a Working Party in the framework of a programme of studies approved by the Academy with continuous supervision by the Executive Studies Committee. When ready, the texts are sent for vetting to the Executive Committee for Quality Assessment. They are submittef to dedate and a vote in session and thereafter can be made public in the form of a publication.

Communications to the Academy

NATF self-commissioned papers, or Academic Communications, authored by one or several NATF Fellows are vetted by the Executive Committee for Quality Assessment, are debated in session but not submitted to a formal vote. They can be published under the authors' responsibility provided they obtain prior approval by the Council.

"Ten questions to … on"

A specialist NATF Fellow, designated by the Executive Committee for Academic Studies, proposes a short, readily understandable text, consisting of answers to ten questions on a given topic.
