Frontiers of Engineering

The EU-US Frontiers of Engineering symposium is an interdisciplinary workshop bringing together 60 promising younger engineers under the age of 40 from both sides of the Atlantic for three days of intensive discussion of key themes at the intersection of traditional engineering disciplines.

The next symposium will take place from November 3 to 5, 2011 in the US National Academy of Science’s Beckhman Center in Irvine, Orange County, California. The four thematic sessions are:

- Biology and Computing

- Future Cities/Sustainable Cities

- The Smart Grid

- Advanced Manufacturing
