Charpentier Charpentier


This Wednesday, October 7, 2020, the Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded to the French Emmanuelle Charpentier and the American Jennifer A. Doudna for the genome editing tool CRISPR-Cas9.
Director at the Max-Planck Institute of Infectiology in Berlin and scientific member of the Max-Planck Society, Honorary Professor at Humboldt University in Berlin, Emmanuelle Charpentier is Alexander von Humboldt Professor in Germany and Visiting Professor at the University of Umeå in Sweden. She was elected member of the National Academy of Technologies of France in 2016.
