Emergence of new platforms of collaborative economy, horizontalization of society ... A technological, organizational, social revolution is in progress. And deeply transforms our economy and our jobs. During the session "Innovation, start-up and rejuvenation", the Academy of Technologies, under the direction of its Vice-President Alain Bravo, looked at positive examples of this transition.

Expo Milano 2015 : Watering the planet, Yves Levi

Organised in the France Pavilion, these short and entertaining TAG conferences will explain key innovation and research challenges in agriculture and food from a sustainable development perspective. Five themes will be covered: food, agriculture, climate change, environment and health. The speakers come from large French research and educational establishments: universities, public research institutions, schools and foundations.
The themes explored provide a snapshot of France’s contribution to the challenges of feeding the planet through management and conservation of natural resources, new agricultural models, food security initiatives, and so on.

CLIMATE CHANGE AND TECHNOLOGIES IN AGRICULTURE

L’agriculture est responsable d’¼ des émissions de gaz à effet de serre, liées à l’activité humaine. Pour nourrir une population en constante augmentation, les rendements agricoles vont continuer de croître - 14% par décennies, selon l’Inra. Les technologies ont donc un rôle de premier ordre à jouer pour limiter l’impact de ces effets sur le climat.

Lors d’une séance publique organisée par l’Académie sur « Le rôle des technologies dans l’atténuation du changement climatique », Marion Guillou, académicienne et présidente du conseil d’administration d’Agreenium, et Jean-François Soussana, directeur scientifique à l’Inra, sont revenus sur les mesures à mettre en place pour atténuer les émissions de gaz dans le secteur agricole.
