December 2, 2011, Christian DESMOULINS, Chairman of the Board of INSA-Toulouse was re-elected for a new 3 year term of office.
Christian DESMOULINS, born Oct.18, 1951, graduated from Ecole Polytechnique, was appointed Regional Director for Industrial, Research and Environmental questions fro the Region Midi-Pyrenees, in 1991; he founded the Ecole des Mines d’Albi which he directed from 1991-1998. He holds the civil service rank of Engineer General for Roads and Bridges.In 1998, he was appointed Head of the Manufacturing Industries at the French ministry for Economy, Finance and Industry, following which he became successively Director of Advanced Technologies, and of Technological Research at the French Commissariat for Nuclear Energy (CEA). Since 2003, Christian DESMOULINS has been Chairman of the Executive Directorate at ACTIA Group – an international industrial group based at <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Toulouse</st1:place></st1:City>, specialists of high added value electronic devices for automotive and telecommunications markets
Christian DESMOULINS was elected Fellow of the National Academy of Technologies of France (NATF). He received the distinctions of Chevalier of the Légion d’honneur, Chevalier of the National Order of Merit and Chevalier in the Order of Academic Palms. (source: communiqué by INSA)
